DIRECTOR OF SALES AND MARKETING
INTEGRATED
PACKAGING MACHINERY SYSTEMS

The Director of Sales and Marketing is a key member of the Executive Team and reports directly to the President/COO. This individual will help to determine the products that we offer, the markets that we serve and how to best promote and sell those products.

Applicants should preferably possess a technical undergraduate degree in one of the engineering disciplines and an MBA with an emphasis in marketing or sales. We are looking for a proven leader with a track record of success in all aspects of marketing, product definition, sales and business development. The successful applicant will possess a track record of sustainable double digit annualized sales growth, a stable employment history and at least 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Experience in marketing and selling highly engineered, customized, integrated capital equipment to the pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostic, health care and cosmetic industries preferred. Applicants must be skilled in customer and competitive market research as well as value proposition analysis. Applicants should be experienced in all forms of business to business marketing and CRM (Customer Relationship Management). Experience analyzing and staffing sales territories utilizing direct salesmen and manufacturer’s representatives on a national and international basis required.

MANUAL / CNC MACHINIST

This is a challenging opportunity with a leading packaging machinery manufacturer serving the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, chemical specialty and food industries. 

Applicant must be capable of reading drawings, schematics, sketches, and understanding oral instructions and must have a good understanding of all machine shop principles.  Experience with machine shop measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, scales, indicators, etc. are a must.   This opening requires a thorough knowledge of cutting tools such as end mills, drills, taps, slitting saws and cyclone mills.

Applicant must have experience setting up and operating manual lathes, manual mills, CNC lathes and CNC machining centers.  This position requires a thorough understanding of CNC programs utilizing the Smart CAM software.

PURCHASING AGENT

Will be responsible for:

  • Purchasing all raw materials, supplies, machinery components, electrical assemblies and contracting services.
  • Overseeing contracts to ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Conducting market research and analysis to locate most cost effective suppliers on a global basis.
  • Working with suppliers to develop processes to ensure orders are delivered on time, within specifications and budget.
  • Developing systems to monitor and validate supplier performance.

Successful applicants will have experience:

  • Purchasing raw materials and components for use on industrial machinery.
  • Working in an engineering, purchasing or manufacturing position for 5 or more years with a manufacturer of industrial machinery.
  • Achieving cost savings through product selection and negotiation with vendors.
  • Working in a Lean Manufacturing and MRP environment.

In addition, applicants should:

  • Possess the ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Have a good understanding of metalworking and machinery practice and design.
  • Have proficiency with MS Office and Excel Software.
  • Have excellent communication and negotiating skills.

APICS and CPM certification preferred but not required.

 SERVICE TECHNICIAN (FIELD), INDUSTRIAL MACHINERY

We empower our Service Technicians with significant responsibility. Our Service Technicians are responsible for customer on-site installation and training as well as trouble shooting and repair of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic problems.

Service Technicians provide remote support to customers and field salesmen. In addition, Service Technicians provide assistance with the final assembly of machinery and customer factory acceptance testing in our facility.

 Applicants for the Service Technician position should possess the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years experience as a field service technician in the repair of packaging machinery or production machinery.
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in Electronics (preferred).
  • Must have electronic trouble-shooting skills including digital circuits, PLC’s and knowledge of pneumatics and a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Familiar with servomotor control (preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency with computer software programs including Microsoft Office products.

Overnight travel up to 50% should be expected. Most travel is within the U.S.

TEST TECHNICIAN

Applicant must be able to set-up, perform and demonstrate a wide range of product tests and simulations on Filamatic filling, capping and packaging equipment for customers, engineers or manufacturers representatives; modify and configure both automatic and semi-automatic variations of the filling, capping and packaging equipment to replicate customer’s specifications and requirements; compile, report, evaluate and analyze test data results for submission to engineering personnel; create and install prototype components for evaluation and feasibility studies and assist customers with field problems related to filling and capping.

The preferred qualifications are as follows:

  • Established technical background in mechanical assembly and electrical controls.
  •  Ability to set-up and operate automatic and semi-automatic packaging equipment.
  • Ability to operate machine shop equipment (mill and lathe).
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft office suite.
  • Self-starter that requires minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
